Dear kirbs,

unfortunately the extension cannot be installed with python 3.10.
To me, this seems related to a bug in jupyter-packaging: jupyter/jupyter-packaging#97
resolved with tag 0.10.3.
To allow for python 3.10 installations, it might be sufficient to update the packaging dependency?
