Anki Dialog "works" but won't pop up about asbplayer HOT 12 OPEN

@ecsalamanc Some things to be know about asbplayer:

1. Command+shift+z will only work when a subtitle is on the screen.
2. asbplayer will record the audio for the subtitle first, and then display the Anki dialog.

So this is my guess:

1. You might be using the shortcut when a subtitle isn't on the screen.
2. You might not be waiting long enough for the dialog to appear.

I hope the problem is one of the two issues above - if not then I can try to look more into this.

Now it seems like everything works (i.e. a screenshot will be take, the sentence recorded), but the 'update card' dialogue still won't appear, nor will the audio won't be recorded. I'm on Google Chrome and only mining from Youtube. I also have Yomichan installed. Thoughts?

So a card is actually being created with everything except the audio?
A way that could happen is this:

1. Turn off the 'record audio' setting.
2. Use the keyboard shortcuts that updates last card, but doesn't open the anki dialog.

For some reason, audio won't record. I've tried all the possibilities (using the "open Anki dialog," "update last card," "manually take audio" etc. Most of the time, the subtitles, timestamps, and related videos disappear on my youtube dashboard and it's just the video that plays. Do you know why this might be the case? It's like I'm waiting for the audio to load but the video just keeps going...

Also, sometimes it works, but I have no idea when or why!

@ecsalamanc Can you try disabling Re-encode as mp3 in the mining settings?

I tried that, but didn't work. Here's what appears whenever I try to mine:

Essentially, the subtitles, video information, etc. all disappear. I have yomichan (for Korean) enabled, so I first make a card with the word I want to mine. Is there a way I can just click to manually mine the sentence I want?

@ecsalamanc The subtitles etc disappearing is a normal part of the recording process, since asbplayer will clean up the UI in order to take a screenshot. However it seems that the screenshot and audio recording either never starts or finishes, so the UI never comes back. If possible can you send a screenshot of asbplayer's error logs? You can find the logs by

1. Clicking on the puzzle piece in the top-right of Chrome.
2. Click on "Manage extensions."
3. Find asbplayer in the list and click on "Errors" (if the "Errors" button isn't there thn means there aren't any errors).

Sorry that the extension isn't working as intended for you. If you can get those logs hopefully they can provide a clue as to what's going on.

@ecsalamanc Okay so some things to try:

1. Make sure you are using Command+Shift+Z on the tab with the video. The keyboard shortcut needs to be used on the tab playing the video in order to work. Using it on another tabs i.e. using it on the subtitle list won't work.
2. (Just a guess) Try binding to Ctrl+Shift+Z instead.

@ecsalamanc Okay, that is really odd. Do you happen to have any other extension installed? I'm wondering if those extensions could be interfering with asbplayer.
