jdy-08's Issues

Can't talk with JDY-08

Hi there,

Thanks for the info here! I have the correct wiring with TX/RX on pins P03 and P02, and PWRC connected to GND but it won't respond to AT commands. I am using 115200 baud and I've tried 9600 as well.

One weird thing though: I was playing around with it once, and I typed "AT+NAME?" and one time it randomly replied with some random stuff like " O C)" and it actually changed the name to "?". However, I don't know what I did there and I can't repeat it.

Any ideas what's going on?

RTC Alarm

Hi @kichMan,

I couldn't find any information about setting and functionality of RTC alarm of JDY-08. It seems that there are two pins set/resets with RTC alarms but there is no information about them.

Do you know the details about setting and using RTC alarm?

Cheers!

How to program JDY40 I/O as In or Out

Hi,
I would like to know how to program I/O of ydy40 as input or output.
Also, what is the maximum current i can pull from an output. Can i drive a relay ?
Thank you

Default GPIO HIGH/LOW?

This is actually "requesting help" post.

I added the module to my dummy thermostat, which is powered with two AA batteries.

The good thing was that the thermostat has latching/bistable relay so it needs only short pulse to one of the pole sides to change state.

But i have a problem. By default, JDY-08 has all GPIO pins set to LOW, however, this wiring on the thermostat actually is controlled by setting the different side of relay to low when it want's to change the connection on/off.

So, i first activate the BLE module, set both pins that i'm using to high and than add batteries to the thermostat. If i don't do that, the relay starts clicking/changing state very fast.

So, in short, i'm wondering if there is an option to make GPIO pins high even after power reset?

And one more thing, in regards to my situation, i'm planning to power the BLE module from separate pair of AA batteries, and i would like to optimize the power consumption. What would be the best steps.

I just need to be able to connect to it and set/unset the GPIO pins when i want. (it's done with python/home assistant based on completely different input's and decisions)

Thnx.

scan stop

I am following to connect two of them to each other . AT+HOSTEN1 AT+RST AT+SCAN1 but after a short time i recived +scan stop
i connected it via TTL to serial port and just sending AT commands and nothing else in hardware I have done unless that connecting power
