This is such a great project, and I have previously got everything working. But on attempting a new one since Nov 2021 No matter what I try I don't seem to get a response from Telegram from the flask page. I wonder if something has changed I am a noob and really have tried all I can.

Hi,

when sending a voice message from LoveBirds to the PEER, the voice message is displayed empty (0 seconds playback time).
The other way around it works: sending a voice message from PEER to LoveBirds, the message gets successfully received and can be played successfully.

I am using MIC+ with a raspberry pi zero from 2016 with raspbian stretch. Just followed precisely your setup instructions and running sound test shows recording and playback is working as expected.

The recorded file rec.wav can be played manually on the box successfully, e.g. play rec.wav

I have also played around a little with bitrate (8-bit or 16-bit), channels (1 or 2), sample rate (44000 or 44100). But in no scenario the voice message could be played on the destination PEER. It always shows as 0seconds recording time.
Double checking on the smartphone with the MSISDN matching the LoveBirds phone setting, the outbound voice messages also appear to be 0 seconds long and cannot be played.

Did you observe this behaviour and do you have a hint where to look at?

I tried to setup the Pi before sending it to my "loved one" ;)
That's why I first put in my phone number for testing. Everything worked out well.
Afterwards I put in her number...unfortunately nothing is happening:

• the test-messages still reach my number:

• She's not getting the Telegram-Authentification key

How can I start the application with her number? Unfortunately i can't reach my SD-Card, my box is already closed... (So I only have SSH access)

I'd be really happy and thankful if somebody could help me out!
