What if the user forgets his username ?

• Should he/she contact the siteAdministrator / hostelAdministration ?
• Or the support be provided on the login page ? "May involve the use of smtp library". or his/her phone number or dob can be asked to reset password

• Should the option of signup be given to the student?

• we should create username and password ?

Given the choice to signup they may create fake usernames with any rollNumbers and spam.
Note:

Registration can only be done with that roll number which the user had used to signup.
Hence fake usernames will only create dummy entries in the exported csv file, which may be difficult to eliminate.

Like fedena portal we can create username and passwords for each one of them and send via email.
