This project is a backend application developed for a class project. It serves as the backend server for an online food ordering system called SolidEat.

SolidEatBackend is built using Node.js and Express.js framework. It provides RESTful APIs for user authentication, user profiles, restaurant management, menu management, order management, and other functionalities required for an online food ordering system.

To run the SolidEatBackend application locally, follow these steps:

1. Clone this repository to your local machine.
2. Navigate to the project directory.
3. Install dependencies using the command: npm install.
4. Set up environment variables by creating a .env file and configuring MongoDB connection URI and other necessary variables.
5. Run the application using the command: node app.js or npm start.

Once the application is running, you can use tools like Postman to interact with the API endpoints. Make requests to the appropriate endpoints for user registration, authentication, profile management, restaurant and menu management, and placing orders.
