but why you not create just the config file with your template from:

File gatsby-config.js:

module.exports = require("./package.json")["gatsby"] || require("./gatsby.config.js");

gatsby.config.json -> gatsby-config.json
then it's only replacing the filetype and not a . to - change?

Thanks for using Gatsby and being so enthusiastic about it by creating a tool around it. While we appreciate that, we are unhappy about your choice for the logo.

Our guidelines state that you mustn't

Use the Gatsby logo or monogram for your application’s icon

Create a modified version of the Gatsby logo or monogram, change the colors, dimensions or add your own text/images

Integrate the Gatsby logo or monogram into your logo

Please change your logo.

Moreover, I personally would be interested in knowing why you don't use Gatsby Themes:

They offer the features you re-implemented.
