Netkit Lab Generator

A tool to configure a Kathará or a Netkit lab and generate all the files you need and the topology graph.

It works as stand-alone HTML file or using Electron for some advanced capabilities (like the ability to directly run a lab from inside the UI).

Simply fill the form and download the bash script or the .zip file with the whole lab. It is also possible to export and import the form configuration for future changes.

Now supports network topology preview (requires a modern browser or the Electrum release).

FAQ

Q: How can I make a machine that is both a web server and a name server?
A: Two machines with the same name are considered as the same machine. For any shared file, the configuration lines of the second machine are added right after the ones of the first machine. For any file that is not shared there is no conflict.

Problem with dynamic routing

Hello!
I'm trying to build a network with RIP dynamic routing, but I can not make it work using only Lab Genarator, because generated quagga configuration files do not appear in /etc/quagga in kathara containers.
However, if I'm starting the lab manually with lstart -d { path_to_lab }, it works fine and all files are in place.
It seems like Lab Generator can't copy files from ./{hostname}/etc/zebra to ./{hostname}/etc/quagga/, but it does not make any error messages.

Nome repository errato

Ciao ragazzi, credo che questa applicazione possa lanciare solo lab Kathara' ormai (perché Netkit e Kathara' hanno la variabile NETKIT_HOME settata diversamente e questa app tiene conto del settaggio di Kathara'), quindi vi volevo suggerire di cambiare il nome della repository.

P.S. A parte questo, io per la mia tesi ho fatto alcune modifiche per aggiungere switch e controller per OpenFlow. Posso aprire una pull request?

Fix topology machine label when second or third octet need display

In the Topology view, when the IP Address of a network interface needs to display the second or third octect it is visualized undefined.

This issue was originally shown by @estiloinfo in PR#14

In the example depicted below, the pc3 machine has IP Address 10.3.5.8/8
