This is a simple program that takes a json file as input from downloaded Facebook information to show interesting statistics on Facebook Messenger group chats.

To download the data that this tool uses, see the following: https://www.facebook.com/help/1701730696756992

Running the program

python3 analyzeGroupChat.py *path_to_json_file*

Functionality

This scripts can currently show:

  • How many times each user has reacted to messages
  • How many times each user has had their messages reacted to
  • How many times each user has sent a message
  • How many times each user has sent an image
  • The message with the most reactions
