What went wrong?

Improve installation

Make new console command "install" which facilitate installation for administrators (check files rights, composer dependency...)

PHP 7.2.x: Fatal error: Cannot use 'Object' as class name as it is reserved

Attempting to run this under PHP 7.2.1 results in the following error being output into the browser when attempting to run/install the first time:

500 Internal Server Error
Fatal error: Cannot use 'Object' as class name as it is reserved

A search for the error turns up that the issue here is that that PHP 7.2 no longer allows Object to be used as a classname and quite a lot of PHP apps out there needed to fix this error to get them working again.

Says youtube-dl is not installed.

Hi,

It says youtube-dl is not installed but it is and I can run it via terminal. Also "which " is installed and "which youtube-dl" returns correct path but still the check in line #130 of Downloader.php in lib returns false.

I even commented it out as I'm sure it is not necessary (not a good approach but I need to get it working fast) but it sill won't work. When I put a URL and press download, it reloads and does nothing, nothing in the download jobs either.

Thanks.

Choose external save location

How would i go about setting the download location to my thumb drive which is in /media/HDD/? whenever i do that it creates a folder within the MediaDownloader folder and saves it there instead of my thumb drive.

about "--restrict-filenames"

VPS download finished video, downloaded to my computer, the file name can only display ASCII characters,
but the media list shows normal.
in the issues #6,I can not find the same way.

Cant achieve the higher 720p quality ..

I installed ffmpeg, and set up 'post_processor' => 'ffmpeg',
but it looks like not working on youtube-dl gui.

Just wondering if there is any extra conf I didn't setup to enable ffmpeg?

Unable to cancel "--restrict-filenames" option

Sorry to trouble you. It seems that youtube-dl-webUI use "--restrict-filenames" option by default because I can only see ASCII characters in file names(English and numbers). I don't know how to make it show Chinese or Japanese normally.
