Is it possible do add icon in svg format?

Drag the .icns file for your favourite variant from build/ onto the application icon in the kitty info pane.

Is it possible to do this without manually dragging and dropping an icon in the Finder? This gets very old after every update to Kitty.

I have written a script but it is missing just that one step:

Though I'd leave this here for anyone running into the same issue and not wanting to spend an hour or so figuring it out.

I have struggled a bit, setting up these icons because i overread something in the kitty docs about desktop integration.

After following those instructions and replacing the icon in ~/.local/kitty.app/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps and then refreshing the icons with update-desktop-database ~/.local/share/applications it worked for me.

I have followed instructions and replaced kitty.png at /usr/lib/kitty/logo. After rebooting, I have the same old logo.

Kernel: 6.1.85-1-MANJARO
