boggle-bot's Issues

Ability to fill board with random letters

This is a feature request for the ability to automatically fill the grid with randomly selected letters

Things to consider

  • QU will be an edge case
  • For this feature, we don't require the number of each letter appearing to be tracked or restricted

Autofocus on the next input when filling the grid

This is a feature request to make filling the input grid quicker and easier.

When an input is filled, the focus should shift to the next item so that the board can be filled in with continuous typing

Things to consider

  • QU will be an edge case
    • We want to move onto the next grid space after all first letters unless that letter is Q.
    • After Q, U, then move to the next space
    • In the case that the user does want just Q, they will have to press tab or click the next space

Control Panel

This is a feature request for a control panel allowing you to change:

  • The size of the grid
  • The minimum word length
  • The dictionary used

Things to consider

  • Changing the size of the grid should remove all results and remove all inputs from the grid
  • Changing the minimum word length should remove all results
  • Dictionaries should be provided as a given file of lowercase words (only lowercase words will be matched - this can be useful to remove proper nouns, for example) with each word on its own line
