Edited the Red++ Files for my own Hack, Can't seem to build to .gbc....HELP!

Hi, thank you sooo much for this Red Hack Repository and the ability to make our own edits to the game! What I did was modify all pokemon's base stats, move changes, mart changes, etc, to make my own personal playthrough of the game (Not for public release). I've tried following instructions for Cygwin with this install tutorial and reading the Red Repository instructions and still cannot get it to build my file(s). Any way you could do it for me?

Dusk stone?

I know sun stone is purchasable in celadon, but I caught a murkrow and don't know how to get a dusk stone to evolve it. Is that in the game?

Outdated Patches

Pretty low priority/importance here, but I just wanted to point out that the patches are outdated (and the patches in the v4 project seem to be even older). Not really needed to update as we can just build our own, but I'm sure that the patches are a lot of people's go-to as it's quicker/easier.
Also, the v4 repo hosts 2.4.2 patches. That might be cool to host in this repo as well (even if heavily outdated as I don't think you're updating that anymore)

Every build = hard version?

Hi there,
first, of course, thank you for this very cool project.
I have a problem: Whenever I build this repo (with make or make red) when I start the game, it says it's the "hard dev version".
Anyway I can fix that?

Hitmons not available

The fighting dojo only lets me pick up one hitmon and it looks like you removed them from Victory Road. This prevents pokedex completion. Is that intentional or is there something I'm missing? Feeling kinda bummed because I picked Red++ to finally experience pokedex completion.

Ho-oh doesn't disappear after capture

I went to Navel Rock with 5 Pokemon in my party and caught Ho-oh first (before Lugia). I captured Ho-oh which added it to my party. It showed in my Pokedex, but the in-game sprite stayed there and could be interacted with, although it did not start another battle. It was still there after changing floors and coming back. I'm guessing this is a bug since it's the only one in the game that seems to do this. Version 3.0.2.

Unable to build using MakeFile

As per issue title, I'm trying to build the repo and I get this message
/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/Python: can't open file 'extras/pokemontools/scan_includes.py'
I saw that there's a extras folder under root that was meant to be populated with the python source of pokemontools (that I installed with pip)
Do I have to dump the content of extras from a previous commit to make the build work again?
I'm on macosx with rgbds install with the help of homebrew

Question About Sprites

So, I love this ROM. BUT, is there a way to change these Gen 2 Pokémon and Trainer sprites to original Gen 1 ones? Seeing all the Gen 2 imagery makes me feel like I should just play Gen 2 instead

Poison Sting bug

Hi, I'm playing v3.0.2 hard mode. I have an Onix, and Poison Sting deals no damage to it. The game displays the "It's not very effective..." message like normal and poison as a status effect appears to work as it should.

Issue with Move Relearner

When trying to move the move relearner into his own map, it started crashing (only with certain select moves). Most moves seem to work flawlessly, with specific ones always causing invalid opcode.

Glitchy item bag and PC

I compiled a custom version of Red Plus Plus and used the hard version (pokeblue). Everything was going fine until I killed a wild Steelix in Digletts Cave (I changed encounters throughout the game) towards the end of the battle, it got gltichy right after I was gaining EXP.

The game then resumed to normal and I didn't notice anything for a while, but I saw I had an item in my bag called 'Headbutt' and when I selected it, it threw a pokeball (I think it was a Great Ball). Other weird things happened after that battle, like my PC having a bunch of blank spaces after a certain item number and then in my bag, one of the items was made to have like 128 of it. I think it was the 8th item slot. (It looked like the gltich after you encounter Missingno and it changes your 6th item slot to a number above 99.

Also on a previous version, (about a year ago) I was playing this on my phone and I was in Diglett Cave. Anyway, as before I changed the encounters in the cave. Weirdly enough, occasionally I would run into a Lv0 Caterpie and if I did anything except run away, the game would lock. I checked the RPP source to make sure there wasn't a Caterpie and there wasn't.

I like this game a lot, but would rather play if it's not going to do those things again. Does my changing the encounter rate have something to do with this? If you'd like, I can send a screenshot of the issue, and my rom/save file. I was originally playing on my phone and transferred it to 3DS VC.
