Describe the Feature

We use Docker to build our app for different architectures/OSes. In this space, we do not include the .git repo into the Docker daemon since its quite heavy. But, due to the absence of this git info, the preval-build-info-cli breaks since we invoke it in the prebuild step of the app.

Suggested Solution

Right now, to overcome this issue, I have used the env var PREVAL_BUILD_INFO_PLACEHOLDERS to bypass capturing any of the build info vars - but, this nullifies the usage of this script. IF the git related pieces alone can be overridden by some env vars, then it would get back to being useful in our case.
