Thanks for your great work. It has been a while since the bug was reported, but I am still experiencing a similar problem that screen keeps dimming when the auto-brightness feature is enabled in the Accessibility settings.
For more details,

  1. The screen dimming issue appears to occur randomly and not consistently every time.
  2. The auto-brightness feature can adjust the brightness automatically to some extent. For instance, when the phone is exposed to strong light, it can increase the brightness appropriately. However, when the phone is moved to a normal light environment, it tends to decrease the brightness to a very low level.

Do you have any suggestion or method that can avoid this kind of dimming issue. I used the "respring" inside this tweak setting. My device is iphone13, ios15.0.1, dopamine rootless jailbreaked

Hey, thanks for bringing this to my attention and for your kind words 😊

I was able to replicate this bug, just the other way around. Does that also happen to you? Say you're in a bright room and decreased your brightness to very low and then respring (using sbreload). Does the brightness then self-adjust to a high value?

I'll take a look at fixing this in the future. After uninstalling this tweak the behaviour does not happen anymore so it must have to do something with that. Maybe avoiding sbreload and using another respring method will do the trick.

Yes it does !
(My threshold is set to 10%)

  1. While I set the prior brightness level as 4%, using a respring CC toggle (I guess it uses killall backboardd) will make the brightness level become 10%.

  2. While I set the prior brightness level as 4%, using "sbreload" command to respring will make the brightness level become 18%.

My guessing is it's recalculated and kinda failed(? while wanna transfer the threshold before and after.

I changed the respring method in the newest release v.1.0.0. I also did fixed some of the recalculations which should adjust the slider level properly after a respring. This does not solve the issue however for other tweaks that use sbreload of course, so i'll try to look into this for the next release!
