Not sure why, but mcex does not import properly. Your __init__.py looks okay, so I'm not sure why it is not seeing distributions.py:

ImportError: No module named distributions

Theano's current implementation is slow. See implementation of AdvancedIncSubtensor1 in https://github.com/Theano/Theano/blob/master/theano/tensor/basic.py, which is currently in python. AdvancedInc is needed for the gradient.
