fluent_colormaps's Issues

Add Magma to colormaps

We have three out of four of the matplotlib colormaps (viridis, inferno, plasma, and magma). We should have the fourth.

See original website explanation here for the story behind the colormaps.

Data for Magma can be found here. The scale for the data appears to be linear 256.

Inferno colormap not working

The inferno colormap isn't working for some reason. If you load the file and select it as a colormap option, it just leaves the previous colormap on the contour plot. If you then change a setting in the contour while it is selected, it will just display a fully white colormap.

Quick fix is to right click "Graphics" on the tree, to go "Colormaps...":

Go to "Edit":

Then, with "Inferno" set as the Currently Defined colormap, save a new colormap as "inferno2".

The "inferno2" colormap then works completely fine. Not sure why this is happening, as obviously some part of the colormap is working fine since a simple rename is fixing the issue.

Add Cividis to the colormaps

Add Cividis to the colormaps. It's a new colormap specifically targeting people with color vision deficiencies.

See article here (includes a csv of the table near the end, though that data will need to be cleaned up due to repeated values)

Also see GitHub repo with the Python scripts the researchers built to make more colormaps.

Colormap gets mess when increasing number of colors

Hi,
I might have a similar problem as reported earlier with the inferno colormap. I have loaded cool-warm-smooth colourmap to Fluent and use it without any problem until I increased the number of colours from 20 to 100 (see picture). I find out that any increase makes this mess. If I go back to 20 it looks ok again... Just weird.

I need to increase the number of colours in batch mode where I can not use the method suggested for the "inferno issue".

Thank you for any advice!
