Hello,
I think the problem with your code is that you're not closing the stream before you open it again, so my guess is that it buffers some data before flushing to disc so you're reading a partial file. If I change the code to:

Thank you very much for your support. I have switched to SaveWithChildren/sRestoreWithChildren and now the materials are serialized as well.
