flagcookies's Issues

how to delete all cookies exept for some doamins?

I thought the profile mode applied with global mode would keep the domains that are specified but it still deletes those cookies as well.
I dont want to check the key icons on all the cookies that I need for every domain that I need.

Enourmously slows down chrome.

Enabling this extension slows down chromium a lot and incrreases CPU usage enourmously., Tab switching normally takes <0.2s, but with this extension enabled, it takes 1-2s or sometimes even more, at high cpu usage.

Broken when FPI is enabled

Is it possible to make the extension work even with privacy.firstparty.isolate set to true?

Steps to Reproduce

  • create new bare empty profile;
  • open about:config and change the value of privacy.firstparty.isolate to true;
  • install the extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/flag-cookies/;
  • open the extension popup via the unified extensions icon;
  • select the mode Global;
  • browse any website that contains cookies;
  • open the extension popup again;

Current Behavior

No cookie are shown

Expected Behavior

Show cookies

FlagCookies is missing cookies when used in incognito/private tabs

This is just a public ticket for a problem which I've reported back in may of 2024 via private message just to have it here in the repo too so that it is publicly visible.

In some cases when exporting cookies in incognito/private tabs, some cookies are missing.

OS: Windows 10
Browser: Chrome Version 125.0.6422.77 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)
FlagCookies Version: 3.6.0
Webseites: seedr.cc, Also reproducible with: adulttime.com [I can't provide an account for this website]

Feature Request: add shortcut on context menu and allow global cookie management over extension preference

Motivation

If you do not have access to the unified extension icon it's not possible to control the cookies.

Use Case

  • create a new empty directory $profile;
  • create the sub-directory $profile/chrome;
  • create the file $profile/chrome/userChrome.css with the following content:
#unified-extensions-button,
#unified-extensions-button > .toolbarbutton-icon {
  width: 0px !important;
  padding: 0px !important;
}
  • create a file $profile/prefs.js with the following content:
user_pref('toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets', true);

Current Behavior

The extensions became useless

Expected Behavior

Being able to right click anywhere on the page and having a shortcut sub-menu item that would spawn the same popup on unified extensions icon.

Being able to access the page about:addons and click over the ellipsis and having a Preference sub-menu which we could control all cookies globally regardless the page, such as accessing the page moz-extension://01234567-89ab-cdef-0123-456789abcdef/cookies.html (getting the uuid from about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox) directly, that current doesn't work.

For both behaviours I recommend making something similar to NoScript Security Suite.

Slowin Down (Google) Sites

had to deactivate the plugin, after it was causing very heavy slowdowns in google photos and youtube. any chance to get that working soon?

Request: Export to Clipboard, remove post-confirmation

[Chrome]
When exporting to clipboard, a box pops up saying it was exported with an OK button. You can't just click somewhere else in the window, as the window is locked waiting for confirmation.

You can still use other windows in the browser but Chrome will lock that window as active and in front, so if you click on another program (such as JDownloader to paste the cookies), chrome will snap focus back to that window until you click OK.
