BEPA

Brute-force Exploratory Path Analysis in R

This R package helps perform exploratory path analysis in R by generating an index of all possible model structures.

As the name suggests, this package is not efficient or elegant. As the number of variables increases, the number of possible models increases exponentially. This code has only be tested on up to 6 variables, and it already takes a substantial amount of time to generate the model combinations for this many variables.

Certain kinds of relationships can also be excluded. For example, you can specify all possible models structures except for those in which x predicts y.

THIS IS CURRENTLY A BETA VERSION

It contains working notes and has lots of room for improvement. You are welcome to branch and improve it.

bepa's Issues

citing the package

Hi Joseph!

I know that the package is in beta version and not published yet, but I wanted to double check with you the right way of citing it if I end up using it in my own code.

Does the following (in particular, the year which I am not certain about) sound good to you?
Watts, Joseph. 2022. Brute-force Exploratory Path Analysis in R. https://github.com/Joseph-Watts/BEPA

Thanks for your efforts of helping to generate all possible models! :)
