Renaming using {layer:name:noextension} the layer names would go from:

Layer 1.jimmy
image.jpg
button-2.png
button-3

to:

Layer 1
image
button-2
button-3

So again if the layer names look like they do in the first code block and you rename using {layer:name:noextension}.png... You'd get:

Layer 1.png
image.png
button-2.png
button-3.png

Side note: I'm having hard time coming up with good keywords... A big problem is that they'd ideally be very short, but the shorter they get, the harder they are to remember. I guess the question is... do you have to remember the keywords since they are listed below?

I'm thinking something like:

{layer:name} = {ln}
{layer:name:lowercase} = {lnlc}
{layer:width} = {lw}
{layer:height} = {lh}
{layer:name}-{layer:width}x{layer:height}{doc:rulerunits}.png = {ln}-{lw}x{lh}{dru}.png
