Batch Mockup Smart Object Replacement - Photoshop script - A script that can batch process multiple mockup files and is able to replace multiple smart objects per mockup.
After this question (#5) I thought about it some more and came to the conclusion that it could be done in all situations and batch renaming the output files afterwards is a bit too cumbersome given how easy it would be to add in the script.
The working idea and caveats:
The input filenames will come from a target with the most input files.
...because that is what dictates how many files the script will output
If the target with most input files uses an array of folders as input: input: [ 'path-1', 'path-2'], there can't be any duplicate filenames between these folders.
Same "no duplicates" rule applies to any subfolders when you use the option: inputNested: true
Hi, it looks like a ton of a great work and I'd love to use it.
However I downloaded the standalone example, cleared the output folded and executed the script in Photoshop. It just opened the "example-mockup.psd" and did nothing more. No errors, messages, no output.
Any idea if it was tested under Windows and Photoshop 2022/2023?
I managed to get the script going but only in the downloads folder, once I replace the script and try to change to path to the new one it always gives my an error 25. I checked the documentation but I'm unable to resolve this issue myself. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I took some screenshots of my current script settings and the error message. Thanks!
When using this script with a number of input files, I'd love the ability to have them grouped into folders, based on the input file used.
The main use case is generating new mockups for an existing list of products, where you have multiple mockups for a single input. An example might be a photo business, where the input files are the images for sale, and there are 10, 20, 30, etc mockup files that put that image into different backgrounds. Having the output grouped by input would make organizing significantly easier.
