Is it possible to redirect the XML export to a string instead of a file or std output?

Using a nested workflow, balc --signature nested.py provides a signature for the workflow, which can be added to the outer workflow. This signature does not include description and example attributes, so these attributes do not bubble up to outer workflow.

I am wondering if it is possible in your library to merge two outputs coming from two different tasks in a single output port (aka Merge datalinks in taverna)?

The --zip flag creates an activity which only works on Linux. Change it to work on all platforms, probably using a Beanshell

Add zipping of output files with user-specified names, possibly including input port values in names. This is required for the whales workflow.
