Just wanted to leave a quick note here for anyone considering filing an issue: thank you for using this extension!
I have been incredibly busy the last year and have not had the time to address the issues filed here. That's why I'm excited to announce that I am actively working on a rewrite of CircleCI for VS Code 🎉
This rewrite seeks to add many improvements and a handful of new features (e.g. #7, #21), but importantly its goal is to fix some of the common issues filed in this repo (e.g. #3, #6, #19).
I don't have a timeline but it's currently about half done. If you'd like to request a feature please feel free to file an issue and I'll consider it. Thanks for your patience.
Would it be possible to add a parameter to define the CircleCI API endpoint? This would be very helpful for the ones running their own server
I work with an entirely private GitHub orb, and all of our published CircleCI orbs are private.
When opening any of my pipelines in the editor, the extension warns that all of my private orbs are invalid.
Given my API token has access to the orbs, it would be great if the call to lookup orbs used my API token instead of (what I presume is?) just a public query.
When using this extension on a workspace with multiple codebases open, only the first project is picked up by the extension. It would be great if it can show all the projects. (Sort of like “Source Control” panel works in VSC)
Great job on the extension, btw.
TreeView icons are broken as of v0.1.5. Seems like bundling broke it.
Hello,
While trying to download artifacts with this extension, I get a file with the proper name, but its contents are must be logged in
instead of the actual contents.
Browsing into the code, I have seen that it's using downloadFile
method, using a simple http GET, hence it's missing the apiToken that would contain the authentication details.
Would it be possible to fix this?
I've placed the CCI API token in my VS Code setting - however, I receive the error "Cannot read property 'branch' of undefined" and I don't see any of my workflows in the extension tab. Also, when I click on the "open in browser" button I receive the error "Running the contributed command: 'circleci.openPage' failed."
The circleci command line tool stores the token in ~/.circleci/cli.yml. It would be great if you could pull this one if it is present.
