In some Matlab versions (e.g. 7.0) the menu bar shows with hidden menu buttons

Matlab careless notion of compatibility between versions plus the Java
shit invasion causes that in some versions the Mirone's menu bar shows up
with hidden menu buttons (see attached image).

To remedy this the user will have to edit the mirone_uis.m file which
resides on the program's root directory and modify the line (~785) that
reads

    if (version7),  set(h1,'Pos',[pos(1:3) 1]);    end     % Adjust for >
R13 bugginess

The key is to increase the second element of [pos(1:3) 1] in such a way
that the hidden menu buttons show up again.

Which libraries and where to?

What steps will reproduce the problem?

2. File > load gmt grid file
3. Select any gmt netcdf file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to load the gmt netcdf file. It pops back the error listed in the
INSTALL.OSX file
??? Invalid MEX-file
'/Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/lib_mex/gdalread.mexmaci64':

not loaded: /Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/libnetcdf.dylib
  Referenced from: /Users/j/programs/MacMirone220/libgdal.dylib
Reason: Incompatible library version: libgdal.dylib requires version 9.0.0

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

enhancement request for aquamoto

Dear Joaquim,
Right now the MISC functionality interpolates sww and MOST files to produce
time series data for given set of locations.

Is it possible to extend this MISC functionality to time grids list also?

I am trying to extract time series from the COMCOT output files.

ARCinfo ASCII format to GMT .grd format

Hi

I have downloaded the 5*5 degrees SRTM DEMs (attached .asc file) and I read
it in Mirone (1.2.3) and convert it to GMT .grd file(attached file .grd
file). when I want to read the file in GMT, it says "variable not found"
but the file is in the directory. I tried for several files, but it is the
same problem. none of the GMT commands(like grdinfo, ...) work with these
.grd files generated by Mirone!, please help me.

Many thnaks

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

both SVN and V1.31 give same problem
Matlab 7.0.0.19920(R14)

Please provide any additional information below.

after loading both bathy and deform grids in memory, still the system
memory used is ~420MB.
increasing the grid max size does not help
physical memory is 2GB
virtual memory is 2GB
(matlab's suggestion of increasing virtual memory has no effect!)
tried monitoring the instant memory usage while starting swan, it does not
show any abnormal overshoot.

Is there any problem of handling big array like this?

ADDITIONAL Preference Setting for Gridded Aquamoto Data

It would be nice to have the ability to set a default Resolution for the
Aquamoto Viewer when opening SWW files.

I believe
Currently it is controlled by
inc = ( X + Y ) / (2*(n-1))

where X & Y are length of x and y sides (meters)
 and n = sqrt(number of triangles) ;

it would be good to set either the resolution by SPACING
or By Line Numbers in the preferences

swan run does not allow changing time step in latest SVN

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. swan setup to produce anuga sww output with mercator grid of 2km
resolution. while setting parameters, mirone guesses a time step of 3.9s.
Any attempt to change it to lower or higher whole number ends up in
this "diverge" warning and time step is reset to the internally calculated
value.
Interestingly it allows a value >= 8 for this case.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Atleast I should be allowed to set a lower step size.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

latest SVN
