WEB DEVELOPMENT WINTER MENTORSHIP

In this repository, the readme.md file has the detailed course plan and all the final (expected) codes will be uploaded here.

More Content has been covered in the first two weeks as the learners were already familiar with basics of Web Development.

We assume you are familiar with a Text Editor of your choice, if you have any issues here, you can contact your mentor privately. Text Editor Recommendations: Sublime text, Visual Studio, Atom

Week 1

Foundations with HTML and CSS

  2. CSS Tutorials from W3Schools , Code Guide

Optional Projects: [Project 1] Sign Up Form [Project 2] Hogwarts Form

HTTP and Responsive Web Development

  1. Introduction to HTTP

  2. Advanced Responsive Web Design

  3. Responsive Design: Media Queries, Responsive Images, Bootstrap

  4. jQuery

Optional Projects: [Project 1] Responsive Landing Page: using HTML, CSS, jQuery [Project 2] Responsive Photo Gallery: using flexbox

Deliverables: Complete a Responsiive Website with HTML and CSS, add as many functionalities as you like; but a basic set of functionalities covered in the above linked projects should be present.

Comments: A good practice would be that if you have full stack or front-end project in mind that you want to finish by the end of this progaramme, start working on it with this and every week's task can add up to the website you want to make.

Week 2

Working with JavaScript, jQuery

1.3 Exercise based learning: freeCodeCamp

[Project] To Do List Application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript, jQuery - 1,2

Deliverables: Complete the Mini Project for JavaScript - it does not strictly have to be the To-Do list Application

Week 3
