Because I, and a lot of people, use F-Droid, it would be very nice to have the app directly in the F-Droid repo. I'm sure that the app will be more popular :)

Is there a technical limitation to that?

While Play Store already lists v0.35, Github releases are stuck at v0.33. Will you add the missing releases and make the APK available again here?

On LGE V30 (joan) the app crashes on start with error:

V39 crashes on launch. "There is a bug", according to android.
Clearing cache & data does not help, nor does uninstalling & installing from the releases on github.

A logcat would help to investigate this further.

It would be great to have a grid with major and minor chords

The APK attached to the latest release no longer identifies as com.castlewrath.hexpress but as com.castlewrath.hexpress.embed. Was that intended? That makes updating from a previous version impossible.

Black screen on p9lite, back button not working.

Killed and cleared data, same black screen for minutes.

Fingering can be shifted to the left but other bars are played in this part, so just for convenience purposes

First of all, thank you for your wonderful work on Hexpress. It is amazing. The best android touch-music software on the planet.

After playing with it for several times, I came to realization that I would much rather use Hexpress as my main MIDI DAW input than my existing physical Roland keyboard. Simply because this hexagonal layout really fits my brain much better than traditional black and white keys. Hence my question:

Is it possible to use Hexpress as an android MIDI output device?

I noticed that when I connect my android with my windows PC, one of the options I have about the type of USB connection is MIDI. I just never tried using it, and I can't find any info about Hexpress and MIDI support.

Hardware alternatives to Hexpress, such as the "Artiphon Orba" feature multi-track loops that get extrapolated from a user's repetitive input (e.g. drum pattern, melody etc.) and then quantized to fit e.g. 4/4 or 6/8 and recorded inputs are pushed to the most reasonable approximate notation on that scale.

This would be an icredibly powerful feature for Hexpress, too: allow users to record multiple instruments on top of each other. Each input has loop-pattern detection and gets "normalized" to fit well with the others.

Thus, users could create entire songs. Paired with a reliable import-export functionality, it'd be an entire mini-studio for when inspiration strikes.
