The source code cannot currently be considered Open Source since there is only explicit
permission to use it in any way (studying it, attempting to run it) and to modify it,
but not explicit permission to distribute it as it is and to distribute modified versions.
If possible, try to select any of the existing Open Source licenses for the code.
This would reduce any confusion.

How much would @ubisoftinc charge to release this project under a free software license?
Now there are the complete sources of POP open sources. But what to do with it?
How can these sources be compiled?
Which tools have to be used?
What step have to be done to get a fresh compiled POP at an emulated Apple ][ for instance?
Hello
Since it's on the public free GitHub hosting, I'm assuming it's under a free software license -- it'd be nice if this was noted somewhere in the tree, or in the source files.
Without a license, this is non-free, and even reading it subjects us to serious legal risk for any code we may write in the future.
Thanks!
The initial commit of the source code is missing some files, which will be converted and added in the future. Therefore, it is not likely the code can be compiled into a working model... yet.
The URL http://jordanmechner.com/wp-content/uploads/1989/10/popsource009.pdf hits a Not Found page.
Hi
Can we also have the MS-DOS source code?
Thanks
The project could use a little README file with some starting points. Just stuff like:
As I have been working on getting the Prince of Persia sources to build into a runnable disk image, I have encountered a few game data files that are not to be found in this github repository. These include music sets and packed static double hires screens.
Would it be ok if I extracted the missing files from a retail PoP disk and pushed them up to a fork of the PoP repository? If so, should I also issue a pull request to have those files pulled into this main fork as well?
Thanks so much for the help.
