This allows the existing commit message to amended using the issue.

Should reset the local branch to the state of the remote branch.

Various functions, though not using provided arguments, should have them passed into the underlying function by default to prevent future issues.

To override the name of the default branch when creating a repository as of git 2.28.0:

git config --global init.defaultBranch <name>

This should reset all commits to the <branch-source> then generate the commit message from the <ticket-source>

git squash-all-commits-from <ticket-source> <branch-source>
git squash-all-commits-from github dev
git squash-all-commits-from jira dev

• efc → xfc
• efd → xfd

reset-upstream → reset-to-upstream

Implement the following:

• Creates an story/<issue-id> branch from current branch or HEAD.
• Creates an story/<issue-id> branch from dev.
• Provides an alias of sfc for story-from-current.
• Provides an alias of sfd for story-from-dev.

Implement the following:

• Creates an documentation/<issue-id> branch from current branch or HEAD.
• Creates an documentation/<issue-id> branch from dev.
• Provides an alias of dfc for documentation-from-current.
• Provides an alias of dfd for documentation-from-dev.

If the call to generate the commit message from an issue source fails (e.g., Unauthorized), it will swallow the error and not communicate anything meaningful to the user. While the commit message is ultimately empty, it is preferable to not make it into the commit at all.

Implement the following:

• Creates an epic/<issue-id> or epic/<name> branch from current branch or HEAD.
• Creates an epic/<issue-id> or epic/<name> branch from dev.
• Provides an alias of efc for epic-from-current.
• Provides an alias of efd for epic-from-dev.

Implement the following:

• Creates an task/<issue-id> branch from current branch or HEAD.
• Creates an task/<issue-id> branch from dev.
• Provides an alias of tfc for task-from-current.
• Provides an alias of tfd for task-from-dev.
