covid-reports's Issues

Links to external URLs can't be open when reading at RPubs

Most links inserted in the text, can't be open when reading the report at RPubs.

Firefox shows this message:

Chrome and Safari do nothing, neither loading the new URL nor showing any message.

I'l try to fix it using target="_new" for these links.

Use Wikipedia consults for nowcasting

In times of pandemia, wikipedia visits have been proved to be a surrogate for cases. Select articles to watch, and cross-correlate visits with reported cases.

Infer number of cases from number of deaths

Use countries with more reliable testing, like Korea or Germany; try and estimate the average number of days from case detection to decease, and then try to infer number of cases somewhere else, like Spain.
