This project uses pure JavaScript to find users in GitHub and display data in a basic UI.

Simple project coded in Vanilla JS and Bootstrap CDN.

Created a simple user interface and called on GitHub's user API to return information based on corresponding usernames typed into the input field.

Github Finder

Github Finder allows for realtime search across Github's 56 million accounts.

Installation

npm install

Setup

  • Rename tokens.example.js to tokens.js
  • Create a .env file
  • Add GH_TOKEN=your_token_here

In the terminal, run:

npm run start

open:

http://localhost:3000/
