I have been having trouble compiling cgminer for windows using the advised minGW included with the version I downloaded from git. I ended up both on your version and ckolivias version getting to where winsock files must get compiled and then it stops. I went as far as following the files it said were having issue and adding the winsock2 headers to them as advised by minGW user email list and still had a bunch of missing character errors.

Hopefully if you have a windows pc you can take a swing as it and help me get a compiled version of the current version you made for ant miners and hopefully make it easier if for you when you commit to your for to ckolivais\cgminer or another version. I have a fork of ckolivias cgminer with the headers I altered just in case you want to have a comparison on what I tried to change to get cgminer working and around this problem and a link to a post I documented what I was trying to do http://drillbitsystem.com/forum/index.php?topic=273.0 .

I was trying to compile on both other than the ant miner [icarus,drillbit, and bitfury]
