Jekyll

Jekyll is a simple, blog-aware, static site generator perfect for personal, project, or organization sites. Think of it like a file-based CMS, without all the complexity. Jekyll takes your content, renders Markdown and Liquid templates, and spits out a complete, static website ready to be served by Apache, Nginx or another web server. Jekyll is the engine behind GitHub Pages, which you can use to host sites right from your GitHub repositories.

Philosophy

Jekyll does what you tell it to do — no more, no less. It doesn't try to outsmart users by making bold assumptions, nor does it burden them with needless complexity and configuration. Put simply, Jekyll gets out of your way and allows you to concentrate on what truly matters: your content.

Wordmark only?

Hey y'all. I was wondering if there is a version of the logo that contains the wordmark only?

Font face?

@cobyism, is this font open-source? Is it even a font, or did you hand-draw it?

I'd like to figure out a way to extend our logo for other purposes/sites.

Usage examples

Let us observe, how people modify the logo. Maybe it helps to improve something.

T-Shirts?

I haven't ever done this before, but I wanted to see about getting some Jekyll t-shirts printed. Not sure whether I should just buy a bunch or whether we can get pre-orders and buy them all from CustomInk or something similar.

Any words of wisdom from GH about this, @cobyism / @benbalter / @mojombo? Would probably use the same shirt that the invertocat came on: https://github.myshopify.com/products/invertocat-2-0

Also, would anyone else be interested in buying them?

Black / White Logo

I was adding the Jekyll logo to my website footer to promote it and realized there aren't any single colour logos available. A lot of people prefer a solid black or white logo to match the aesthetic of their websites. I modified the SVG for my use, but I'm wondering if a) this violates any usage guidelines, and b) would you like me to provide the SVG?

Also, please bear with me. I'm new to GitHub and not sure if this should be an issue or pull request.

Stickers

I love my GitHub and Octopress stickers. Now that @penibelst has extracted the test tube, would it be ok if we printed some stickers? Perhaps @imathis has some insights as well in terms of printing, pricing, etc.

Also, is there any interest in these stickers?

Jekyll t-shirts

I was looking for Jekyll t-shirts to purchase online and couldn't find any. Would I be allowed to make them? At the moment I am just interested in making one or two for myself, but I was thinking I might start a Jekyll-powered site to sell Jekyll shirts.

What kind of permissions do I have for this?
