The simple annotation method for that requires python3. I don't know how hard doing it in a python 2 compatible manner is.

It is a requirement not to remove python 2.7 support, but it is a goal to support any sort of reasonable static analysis is feasible.

Currently every controller gets all of the dependencies inserted. This can be a problem for re-using controllers between applications where you may end up with two controllers that want the same dependency name (say db), but meaning two different things.

This would allow registering controllers after the application is instantiated. Also, it would mean that perhaps users wouldn't need to separately import routes.

Additionally, it would allow the Application to track the controllers for the purposes of dumping controllers or offering the ability to de-register controllers.

The design question is what to do about submappers. Without considering those, register controller would be nearly useless since submappers seem to get used a lot.

If not convienient to comprehensively test old versions of the library, just stick the current version in.
