london-tube-status's Issues

It works perfectly only for your specific case

Thanks for you app! I learned a lot. I understand that everyone implements some architecture with its own way. But, it should work perfectly with Android's design. Let's suppose that your Activity be Fragment. If you go from StatusFragment to another one and go back, that fragment is recreated, which means list of statuses are fetched again. It is definitely bad practice, because your View contains code like fetchStatusLines. As far as I know, view should only observe for changes. ViewModel's instance is created once and it just gets that actual status lines, which were fetched before. I think, if you try to make above situation, it can totally ruin your current design. The question is how to handle that? The first suggestion is to make request when ViewModel gets initialised. Or to make something like following:
val statusesLiveData = repo.getStatuses()
But, how to use mapper then? And where to use it?
