cms-tree-page-view's Issues

Order changes are not saved in the same order set by user

Hi, on some of the sites I tested this plugin there's an issue with saving the order of pages set in Tree View.

When I make the change and refresh the page it changes the order differently than what I've set it to.

The issue seems to happen on managed hosting that has Object Caching, I couldn't replicate the same behavior on different host that doesn't have any kind of caching.

It seems that the plugin doesn't work well with object caching so it ends up assigning same order number for multiple pages.

This is the test I did:
I've created a parent page with 4 child pages, and to each page I've assigned order number in Page Attributes. So I ended up having these pages with these order numbers:

  • Page 1 - order 10
  • Page 2 - order 20
  • Page 3 - order 30
  • Page 4 - order 40

After that, I used Pages > Tree View to order them like this:

  • Page 4
  • Page 2
  • Page 1
  • Page 3

However, after I refresh the Tree View page I end up with a different order, looking like this:

  • Page 2 - order 10
  • Page 4 - order 10
  • Page 1 - order 10
  • Page 3 - order 30

So it does make some change, the order is not the same as from start, but it's also not the one that I've set in Tree View.

Drag and drop is not working since update

Hi,
First, thanks for an awesome plugin.
I've been using CMS tree view for years with no problem. Today, the plugin updated. Since the update, the drag and drop is not working.
I testing it on my staging site. And a couple of smaller sites I have.

Thanks,
David

Add New Page not working

Hi Jonathan,

The search feature works quite good now. In the 1.6.2 version it was quite unstable.

Sadly the "Add New Page ( After | Inside )" feature doesn't work anymore. The screenshot shows the location.

Hope you are able to fix this soon.

Thanks a lot for your help!

No category selection option available

Hello, We want to use your plug-in for our custom posts. It looks that all our posts are changed to the tree view. However, it does not consider the categories while creating the tree view. Is it possible that we can create a custom tree view separately for each category?

Search not working after jQuery update

Original issue: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-not-working-with-5-5-it-seems-2/

Explanation:

I found a (temporary) solution for this problem.

The primary cause is that WordPress 5.5 changed the versions of jQuery and the way it is supported.

The WordPress Team made a plugin called “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” that solves this problem. It basically enables an older version of jQuery. You can download the plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ Download and enable the plugin and it will work.

The whole story on jQuery in WordPress on https://wptavern.com/major-jquery-changes-on-the-way-for-wordpress-5-5-and-beyond

The future plugin should be changed to a newer jQuery version.

Hope this will solve your problems.

Update option storage

Original thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/deprecated-options-php-error/

From: [SITE]/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=cms-tpv-options when I save the settings I got the following error 27 times :

Unable to expand tree on version 1.6.2

Clicking on the triangles does nothing, I can only see and access the top level of the tree.

Disabled all other plugins and used Twenty Twenty theme.
