knobroom's Issues

Support [touch]OSC next to MIDI as supported Protocol

As I gather, OSC is a MIDI v2 of some sorts.

Open Sound Control (OSC) is a content format for messaging among computers, sound synthesizers, and other multimedia devices that are optimized for modern networking technology. Bringing the benefits of modern networking technology to the world of electronic musical instruments, OSC's advantages include interoperability, accuracy, flexibility, and enhanced organization and documentation.

Androind has OSCPad, while iOS has touchOSC as (I'm told) quite resposive software implementations of OSC.

Issue: Knob position (BCR2000) not updating upon next image

Only a sporadic issue, which makes it hard to target.

On some occasions, moving to the next image will not adjust the white balance position on the BCR controller, so it does not reflect the current LR slider position.

Moving the knob will cause the LR slider jump to catch up, if that makes sense!

Request: Adjustment Brush presets via Hotkey or CC button

Wow! Since Knobroom r686 seems to allow Develop Presets to be targets of the CC controller, pretty please allow the same for the Adjustment Brush Presets... This would save soooo much time!!!
Click, paint in Highlight recovery, click, paint in skin retouch, click paint in shadow enhancement... Instead of press K to bring up adjustment brush, klick on the custom button to bring up pull down menu, select highlight revery brush, start painting, etc. I tried to program a Key Maestro macro to do this, but had trouble because the position of the different items on the pull down menu change dependent on what brush was used before... (and because it was the first thing I tried to program with that program... )

In any case: I hope your expertise will allow for this! :)

PS: Great work so far! Amazing how this is moving now!

Request : Mapping "Camera Calibration" sliders

Allow mapping for the following sliders :

Shadows (mag/green)
Red primary hue
Red primary Saturation
Green primary hue
Green primary saturation
Blue primary hue
Blue primary saturation

Request : "Reset" sliders

Could be great to be able to reset a value to default.
(that's a lot of sliders to map...)

Example : tweaking the gray mixer with rotary knobs, you could reset any color to 0 by clicking the concerned rotary knob.

Request: List targets in sequences according to LR

As I just switched controllers and even before trying to get the optimal mapping going I came across this quite often: The drop down menu in the mapping area almost follows the set up in LR...

In Lightroom the sequence (at least of the parameters that I think can be controlled):
White Balance
Temp
Tint
Exp2012
Contr2012
Highlights2012
Whites2012
Blacks2012
Clarity2012
Vibrance
Satuaration

etc.

I think it would be easier if the sequences would match each other...

Thx!

Lightroom 5 support ???

Wanting to map my BCF2000 to the graduation tool then use the sliders to control the options under the grad tool, can this be done ???

REQUEST: Value Popups

As per Paddy for Lightroom, values of the sliders etc are shown in a popup when using the MIDI controller. Very useful indeed!

Support Novation Nocturn Increment ability

The Automap Software from Novation has a "Increment/Decrement Mode":

In this mode, the encoders send information to tell a Thing in which direction the encoder has been turned and how fast it has been turned. Not all Things are able to interpret this data but it is very useful in advanced music software such as Max /MSP.

When set to this mode an encoder will send a value of 1 for a slow clockwise turn. The sent value will increase up to 64 as the encoder is turned faster. Turning an encoder anticlockwise will send a value of 65 for a slow turn. This value will increase up to 127 for a fast turn.

Request : Navigate the develop panels

In Develop module :
allow user to toggle (open/collapse or open if "Solo" mode enabled) between Basics, Tone Curve, HSL, etc.
Similar to the keyboard shorcuts "cmd + 0", "cmd + 1", "cmd + 2", etc.

Request: Highlight to be edited mapping event while editing...

I originally wasn't even sure that I could edit my former entries in the MIDI mapping. I think it would help to be able to highlight the entry I'm trying to edit... For example: It's possible to change "CC 11 develop Saturation" to "CC 11 develop Sharpness" but I didn't think it was... Hoping that I made this clear...\

BCR2000 - How to not "jump" on next image

Hi,

When i discovered knobroom, my dream was to acquire a nanokontrol. I buy it, setting it, but i was sad of the matter of "jumping" value when going to develop next image. (ie : I develop a +1 exposure photo, then when i move knob on the next photo, i jump to +1.1 directly).

So i read a lot and discover that bcr2000 is good with his "virtual" knob.
So i buy a BCR2000...
And now trying to setting it up
But i still got the "jumping" value, knob doesn't virtually take the LR5 sliders value

What is the walthrought to avoiding "jumping" ?

My BCR2000 is connected on USB
I have mapping all knob on the plugin menu
I choose
MIDI In : BCR2000 port 1
MIDI Out : BCR2000 port1
Plugin : v0.2.779
License : registered to [email protected]
Lighroom : v5

Ps : sorry for my english, i'm french.

REQUEST: Keyboard Shortcuts / Mouse Wheel

I.e. for assigning a preset to a button, or for the incremental slider jumps (as per clicking the slider and using arrow keys).

Mouse wheel being assigned to moving a slider.

So for example, using both of these requests:

Press A for shadows, then use mouse wheel to adjust.
