Right now the tutorial gives a base app to work with, we want to convert this to swift so that we can start the tutorial with a Swift base instead of having to bridge things over as we continue the rest of the tutorial using swift.

The map options list is still not fully populating when loaded, no clue what is wrong, something from the conversion to swift.
