g4multiarray's Issues

Boolean indexing

  • arr(arr<bool>) of the same shape
  • arr(std::function<bool(const T&)>)

A new 1D array_view type will be necessary, holding a list of indices.

Indexing

Create an indexing class like slice in NumPy:

{} - [:]
{i} - [i] - must decrease dimension by 1!
{i, j} - [i:j]
{i, j, k} - [i:j:k]

Then, method At() should use this list to create a view. Is it possible to distinguish between 2nd and all other cases? Perhaps yes.

Question: also negative indices?

Question 2: how does this compare to the slicing implemented in C++?

Question 3: is the view class general enough?

Accumulation operations

  • accumulate(start, accumulationHandler);
  • accumulate(start, accumulationHandler) or accumulate(start, accumulationHandler, i);

And then special cases:

sum(), product(), max(), min()
