WEB103 Project 4 - Custom Quiz Maker - QuizWhiz

Submitted by: James Bustos

About this web app: The goal of this web app is to allow learners to create customs quizzes and share their quiz so others can test themselves on topics they enjoy. Uses can create a quiz based on a topic of their choice and can define as my questions as they want. If the user wants to modify their quiz afterwards they are free too, and if they want to remove it completely they can do that as well. A prospective feature would be to gamify the process and allow for live quiz submissions and ranking. This app is meant to give learners the ability to create and share their quiz quizzes with other learners.

Time spent: 72 hours

Required Features

The following required functionality is completed:

I though we could introduce our ideas for this project which is why my project is custom, ill try my best to fill this accurately, thank you

  • The web app is connected to a PostgreSQL database, with an appropriately structured CustomCar table
    • NOTE: Your GIF must include a view of your Railway database that shows the contents of the table used by your app
  • The web app uses React to display data from the API
  • Users can view a list of options they can select for different aspects of a CustomCar
  • On selecting each option, the displayed visual icon for the CustomCar updates to match the option the user chose
  • The user can submit their choices to save the car to the list of created CustomCar
  • If a user submits a feature combo that is impossible, they should receive an appropriate error message and the item should not be saved to the database
  • The app displays the total price of all features
  • Users can view a list of all submitted CustomCar
  • Users can edit or delete a submitted CustomCar from the list view of submitted CustomCar
  • Users can update or delete CustomCar that have been created from the detail page

The following optional features are implemented:

  • Selecting particular options prevents incompatible options from being selected even before form submission

The following additional features are implemented:

  • Create a responsive UI
  • Created a individual edit button for quiz questions
  • Created two tables and linked them using a foreign key

Notes

Had a lot of fun with this project, feeling more confident with handling requests and defining useful routes and controllers. Plan to keep working on making my code cleaner and scalable. Apologies if my project was not relevant to the car example, i read the project prompt and thought we could introduce our own ideas. Hopefully i covered all the concepts, Thank you.
