Backend: Django

UI Library: Flowbite Svelte

• Clone and cd into the project
• Ensure Python 3.8+ and Node.js 18+ is installed
• Create a Python virtual environment (tested on Python 3.10.6)

python3 -m venv env

• Activate the virtual environment

source env/bin/activate

• Install the Python requirements

python3 -m pip install --upgrade pip
python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt

• Create a Django secret key

echo "SECRET_KEY=$(python -c 'from django.core.management.utils import get_random_secret_key; print(get_random_secret_key())')" >> .env

• Apply the migrations

python3 manage.py makemigrations
python3 manage.py migrate

• Install the NPM dependencies (tested on npm 9.6.3 and node 19.6.0)

npm i

• Run the Python server

python3 manage.py runserver

• Open another terminal window and run the Vite server

npm run dev

Now open your browser and go to: http://localhost:8000/
