The basic_histograms.py file produced reasonable plots for a small (10-event) data set, but something got wonky when I scaled up to 20k events. The histograms spat out by the same basic_histograms.py file are all blank.

My attempt at making plots of signal muon transverse momentum/rapidity/phi (planar angle?) hit a snag. Something in either my is_signal function or event record loop is skipping actual signal muons, resulting in empty lists, which makes my range-finding process for transverse momentum (line 70) and (pseudo)rapidity (lines 86, 88) throw a fit being told to compare the minima and maxima of empty lists.

Troubleshooting plan:

• Confirm that lists are empty
• Review flowchart

The output from Acceptance_Weights_Expected.py declared a bunch of null values.

Troubleshooting steps:

• Review code line-by-line to ensure I understand what I'm doing
• Check outputs at various stages of event/particle loops

(As of writing this issue, I've already composed a solution, ergo the back-to-back time stamps. Future me will be better about creating Issues as issues present themselves.)
