Describe the bug
JKSM does not list Face Raiders’ save data, and therefore cannot manage it.

When I open JKSM via homebrew (with steelhax) and I open pokemon ultra sun by clicking titles, I can't click saves. Extra saves works, but saves doesn't, and I need it to use Pkhex. Is there a version I can download? I'm on 11.8.0.41 U
im trying to access my downloaded animal crossing NL game, but it crashes when i click titles. i tried looking in system titles if it was there at all, but nope.
another thread had a link to a new zip file but upon replacing any existing files, and trying all different combinations, it proceeded to freeze. any ideas why?
Hello @J-D-K when I click on the button to be able to import my save or export them nothing happens ? why im on Homebrew 11.8

Whenever i select the system titles option only Activity Log, Friend List, Mii Maker, Nintendo eShop, Nitendo Network ID Settings, and System Settings shows up. Is there supposed to be more, I do select reload titles but it doesn't change anything.
When I click on ,,Save Data´´ nothing happens im pressing all the buttons but nothing does anything.
I have a NEW 3DS Model with no CFW and my 'JKSM.3dsx' file vanishes whenever I boot up ninjhax. I accidently deleted an unknown older version, which worked fine, and now I can't restore my backups because of this issue. I also tried getting LumaCFW, but that was a bit of a crapshoot and I couldn't get past a certain step. Other than narrowing down which old version I used and cleaning out my SD card of unnecessary files such as home-brew apps that were never used, I am completely boned at my end.

Save backup was successful, but save restore causes an arm11 exception crash.
So when i open jksm using homebrew, (im using ninjahax) i go to my pokemon ultra moon and hit Save Data, but when i select that it just says The archive cannot be opened! please help because i have been try really hard to fix this for the past few days it nothings happened. :(
I open the file I want to save and then choose 'save data' but then it tells me 'The archive cannot be opened!'
I don't know what to do. I'm using steelhax and pokemon moon. Do I need to do something else first?
After reformatting my microSD card, I reinstalled JKSM and it kept crashing when selecting title.
I finally noticed the crash stopped when I generated a save file for at least one title.
I recently installed JKSM in my 3DS to extract a save file from my 3DS cartridge.

However, when I tried to launch JKSM in the main menu, it shows the following error message:
Briefly, it says that 'an exception occurred' with a 'data abort' chunk of detail.
The error occurred in ARM11 section. (I'm kinda not sure how to express this professionally)
I guess that it may be the problem of the changed region, because when I tested the same version of JKSM a week ago in the original Japanese firmware, it worked successfully.
Any ideas how to fix this damn error?

Hello, I seem to be having an issue dealing with how the extra data is being treated for Minecraft - New Nintendo 3DS Edition when using the latest build of JKSM. The game doesn't utilize any form of save data, it instead utilizes extra data because world data is stored onto the SD card that the 3DS uses. For some reason when I export that data, it's either not displaying all of the data or it's not correctly outputting the data correctly at all. I did some investigating with the data itself and noticed that some of the information was definitely missing (the options.txt literally is blank when it should have actual options to mess with), due to the nature of the world data, I can't pinpoint what is actually missing with that data, however I know the moment I import the data back, I end up met with an error when I attempt to load the world in game. I will provide an image of the error I get, I would like to note that I don't get any other type of error from this either, and from the looks of it, the description of the error isn't exactly helpful, so unfortunately what the image shows may not be too useful sadly.
There might be a chance that importing may not be an issue, it may just seem that way because the exported data is already damaged, importing damaged data can definitely lead to the results seen below too, so it's a possibility that maybe exporting is really the only issue, some tests will have to be done in order to really find out for sure however. I did dump the game and run it on Citra to see how world data is handled there, considering data is decrypted in that environment, I am unsure if the results from Citra should match with the results of exported data via JKSM or any save manager like it for that matter. I did notice that all the data there was working correctly though, options.txt had all the options available in the text document, and the world data seemed to be intact as well (I did a test by moving the world data out of the sdmc folder of Citra and importing them back in, they worked like a charm). I tested an exported world from JKSM on Citra and I was met with a crash (no errors were given obviously).
I'm using the newest release and I may be dumb but I see no import button, I don't know how to import
None of the "new generation" (this summer's) versions of JKSV can backup empty files (like the updated.dat in Animal Crossing), they just freeze the system (including Rosalina and the power button) before displaying its filename!
(Luckily it's the last file in the save, so -outside of a bulk backup operation- you can just force power off the system and the backup is done; but still a bug ain't it? :P )
StreetPass Mii Plaza BOSS data won't copy properly, as it did in the old version of JKSM. In my case, of the five files that the old JKSM found, the new version has 0 bytes for one of them and another is missing. Using the latest.
Dumping the extdata for Mario Golf: World Tour leads to a crash that resets the console. The dump is also incomplete. Works on the previous version of JKSM.

I amtrying to use PKHex on JKSM. It seems as if it does not recognize my ultra sun game
Steps to reproduce:
No idea why this is happening, a new n2DS XL on latest with Luma.
In latest release nothing happens when trying to backup if title name contains some symbols, I think.
For example - BoxBoy series have "!" at the end of title.
But if I remember correctly, previous version was able to backup and restore, at least from BoxBoy games (maybe because in path spaces and symbols were converted to underscore).
The app can t seem to run on a 2DS 11,9, with a hombrew luncher, sub wars methode. its just make a yellow screen, at first i tought it was a slow first run but i attempted many times.

When I try to open JK's Save Manager, it tells me an exception occurred. Maybe I don't have the files in the proper place, but I doubt it. What CFW do I need to be running?
For some reason the tool only extracts "ExtData", not the actual save data. Could it be because I'm playing the patched version?
When I open JKSM and hit save data, it says that the archive cannot be opened. I have tried saving in extra data, but that doesn't work either.
Other information:
I'm trying to hack ACNL, and I'm using freakyhax. I have a 3ds XL, version 11.6. I have installed all five files from the 12/20 release, created a "JKSM" folder, and placed it in my "3ds" folder.
I don't code at all, so I have no idea what to do with this. Can anyone help?
Whenever I attempt to use the latest version of JKSM (and the altered ones JKD has replied to other comments with) it always ends up in a red screen. When using the older version which I have a backup of, this issue doesn't occur, however when I attempt to close it on that version it goes to red screen as well. I get the feeling it has to do with 11.8, since I haven't had any issues prior to this. I'm just very curious why I can't seem to use the latest version.
I used pxhaxs and tried to upload it to my um cartridge and all my files are now corrupted, someone please help me.
When I try to import a Tomodachi Life save from the JKSM folder it doesn't let me even open it, no matter how many times I press the A button and I didn't get any types of errors. The same thing happened when I tried to get the save from a different folder. I then copied the save to the root of my SD card and it let me click on it, but when I copied to save and opened Tomodachi Life the save I imported wasn't the one that appeared in the game. Instead it was the save I had previous to exporting my save to JKSM to get edited. I don't know if this is an issue with JKSM or with the save editor I used but there's clearly sonething wrong.
Hello i have A problem With the programm (i'm German) when i Start the Jk Save manager The Screen is Yellow and FreezeScreen
Clicking on System Titles reveals copious unsupported characters (mostly represented by Chinese symbols and white box question marks). Makes it impossible to back up anything besides the StreetPass Mii Plaza (the only game title that is readable).

I tried using the new version of JKSM and it gave me an error message when trying to go into my ACNL save data.
I downloaded the December 2018 version with *hax and I can now go into ACNL, however when I click "Save Data" it asks me to create a New Folder, is this going to help me export my current town?
I am trying to export my save data to edit my town layout.
My ACNL is downloaded on my SD card.
i have the .sav file of that game but in jksm the files come in a different way how do i solve this?

Recently, I can't save my data anymore. It says "Archive can not be opened"
I tried the methods to fix it, by using an old jksm file, using extra data etc but it doesn't work- at least for ACNL.
I would like to know if there's something i may have missed?
I'm currently only using the JKSM to hack for Animal Crossing New Leaf, and possibly a few pokemon games. But when I select the Save Data option, nothing happens. It works fine for the deleting saved data, but not for exporting and/or importing save data. Did an update happen? It seems like it's changed. Please reply as soon as you can, thanks in advance!
JKSM cannot restore a Mii Plaza meet.dat file that has been edited in any way, even a single bit. In a previous version, I couldn't even restore a meet.dat file I just backed up immediately before with no changes. In the newest version I can restore a meet.dat file I just backed up, but any editing, either just one bit with a hex editor in the appropriate place in accordance with this walkthrough:

or with any of the Mii Plaza save editors results in an error.
When I try to restore the edited meet.dat file, JKSM throws the error: "There was an error opening the file for writing." and then "0x00000001"
Can't get past "Looking installed SD Titles. Sometimes gets stuck on yellow or red screen if I dont even make it to that point

Everytime i open the most recent version of the JKSM, there is no import or exit button, and whenever I try to exit back to the homebrew menu the exit button doesn't respond.
Recently installed CFW on my 3ds using the 11.8 Seedminer method, Installed the JKSM.3DSX file and running it was fine however it would be nice if I had some help on how to import and export a save as there doesn't seem to be a way to export my save or even import it.
im trying to edit my save data in pokemon moon but when i click save data it says "archive cannot be opened". what do i need to do to fix this
on 3DS firmware 11.10.0-43E, when exiting JKSM I am just getting a permanent red screen on the touch screen, and black on top screen.
This happens when selecting "Exit" from the menu or when pressing Start as well.
It doesn't exit to homebrew menu. It exits to home menu. Could you fix it so it exits to homebrew menu? Some games don't work in JKSM and some don't work in CheckPoint when you try to bulk save. It makes it easier to go between the two. It could be some titles don't have a save file yet and JKSM is trying to dump the save.
When trying to backup the save on a legitimate cartridge for Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright (EU version), I get the following error:
Perhaps it has something to do with the title of the game. Perhaps it's the period in the title that messes with it. You can see the title in this screenshot:
Note the period after "Prof". The reason I think this period might be the cause is because someone else is having the same issue with other Professor Layton games here: #19
Another reason I think this might be the reason is because Checkpoint can backup the save without issue. And when I check the title there, it has removed the period after "Prof" and replaced it with a space instead
