vim_config's Issues

Align.vim is not loading

Hi,

I love this project. Thank you for organizing and publishing it!

I've forked your project here: https://github.com/wallace/vim_config. For some reason, Align.vim is not loading for me and I'm not sure why.

As you can see in my commit list, I've not made any changes to the autoload directory.

What's the next step I should take to debug this issue?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Issuing a Change Command Adds zv Characters

Issuing a change command, such as c/; or c/( will insert a zv behind the cursor. Using a cw to change word does not.

For example:

printf("Hello, world.\n");

put cursor before the p.

issue c/( followed by return

a zv will be inserted behind the cursor

I have replicated this in Ruby and C code multiple times. However, I think one of the plugins is conflicting with something.

Problem with Gist submodule

Hi Duwanis,

This for your package, the instructions were clear and I got a working vim config really quickly.

But soon, I got error loading NERDTree with this error:

E492: Not an editor command: NERDTreeToggle

I checked the ~/.vim/bundle/nerdtree/ folder and it was empty.

When I return to ~/.homesick/repos/alx/vim_config, I tried to update the submodules, and got this error:

git submodule update
fatal: reference is not a tree: ffac3c908fad60500b93984c3592976ebad1aa60
Unable to checkout 'ffac3c908fad60500b93984c3592976ebad1aa60' in submodule path 'home/.vim/bundle/gist'

Because I'm not used to submodules, and I don't use gist vim plugin, I've just deleted this gist submodule, but I'm sure other people will feel more confortable with a better solution than mine :)

Thanks again!

Alex

Saving Using <leader>w Causes Cursor to Move

When saving a file using the w command, the cursor will move forward a space or word. Sometimes it doesn't though. I can replicate this with a brand new clone/checkout of the configuration. I have tested it in C and Ruby file types so far and it happens in both, so I'm assuming it's a conflicting plugin or the configuration some where. I have removed a few plugins that I thought could be causing conflicts (restarted Vim too) and the issue still persists.

I am using MacVim, the latest version and a fresh checkout of vim_config without modifications. I have tried using ";" and "," as my leaders and in both cases the issue was there.
