Hello!

Have tested SVTpk with a number of downloads (about 10).
I’ve used to different software: Grove (Windows) and VLC.
Used OS: Win10 Pro (latest updates).
Hardware: Dell Latitude E6530 with 16 GB RAM and an Intel Core i7-3720QM @2.60GHz

The software works quite well - if you don't mind that it takes some time and that it uses a lot of CPU power (oscillates between 85 - 98% on the computer mentioned above, and according to the task manager Java is responsible for that consumption).

The problems I discovered are as follows:

Two major errors:

Downloaded material almost always goes out of sync, and it varies by how much. Sometimes a lot (up to 2-3 seconds), sometimes a little less, and sometimes just a little. It rarely happens that it is completely without errors, but every now and then the picture and sound agree for a short period (approximately 1 - 2 minutes). I find it annoying and, at its worst, really disturbing.

The subtitles for the programs I chose to download (programs from SVT's "Vetenskapen värld") have so far never worked even close to satisfactory (Swedish subtitles for English speech).
Ie: now and then some occasional subtitle appears, but most of the time the subtitles are completely absent.
The file is downloaded as it should and is detected by the software when you select the file, but as mentioned, the subtitles themselves are mostly missing.

One minor error:
The ability to choose the location of downloads (any folder) has some problems. I've only gotten it to work once.

As far as I have been able to ascertain so far, the software does not remember the last setting (folder) but saves to default (i.e., to a subfolder of the folder in which SVTpk itself is located).

When I tried to fix the error, in addition to reselecting the folder I already had selected, I also had to restart SVTpk to get it to work.

Summary

If the two major errors can be adjusted, this will be a perfectly fine alternative to other similar software. 😊
If also the minor could be fixed, the better 😊😊

I myself don't have the technical skills to contribute to the improvement in question, but I assume there are plenty of those who could here on GitHub.

With appreciation for all the work that throughout the years voluntarily has been put in in this community, and continues to do so…
