pretty-env-logger

A simple logger built on top off env_logger. It is configured via an environment variable and writes to standard error with nice colored output for log levels.

Usage

Add the dependency to your Cargo.toml:

[dependencies]
log = "0.4"
pretty_env_logger = "0.3"

Add some usage to your application:

extern crate pretty_env_logger;
#[macro_use] extern crate log;

fn main() {
    pretty_env_logger::init();
    info!("such information");
    warn!("o_O");
    error!("much error");
}

Then run your app with the environmental variable set:

RUST_LOG=myapp=trace cargo run
