๐ŸŒฑ Welcome

With billions of IOT devices connected today there is a huge potential of computing power ready for use at minimal or even zero cost. These tiny computers are capable of operating on renewable energies like solar power, giving tremendous opportunities for utilizing their computing capabilities without impacting environment. We all have WiFi enabled sensors, smart bulbs, sockets, plugs... which idle for most of their time - why not connect them together and use as one big computer to solve our problems ?

Welcome to GridShell, a passion project dedicated to innovating computing with low-power devices. GridShell is an advanced distributed computing solution powered by IoT nodes (Esp32/Esp8266). This collaborative system aims to harness the idle processing power of underutilized IoT devices, made with love and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology.

gridshell's Issues

Some questions about GridShell

Dear @invpe ,

I just found out about Gridshell recently, looks like an interesting project :) Thank you for your hard work on this one !

I'm really interested in distributed computing, and I'm already contributing to BOINC, distributed.net, Mersenne / GIMPS, Fishtest, etc...

I have two questions regarding GridShell:

  1. Which ESP32 device would you recommend to give Gridshell a try (if that's still possible) ?
  2. I understand you can earn tokens when participating in the GridShell network. Have you considered using Gridcoin for that matter ?

Best regards,

Samuel
