data-engineering-ecosystem's Issues

Typos in the Hadoop intro wiki page

Hi, while following the Hadoop Intro guide, I found the following typos:

A. under the configure core-site.xml section, there is a backslash missing from the closing xml tag for the property:

<property>
   <name>fs.defaultFS</name>
   <value>hdfs://namenode-public-dns:9000</value>
<property>

B. under the configure core-site.xml and configure yarn-site.xml sections, it refers to adding these properties to the respective files, between the (blank) tags. it should read <configuration> in both cases.

Spark intro scp command is incomplete

The spark intro contains the following invalid command:

local_machine:~$ scp -r -i   ubuntu@:~/price_data

It should actually be something like:
scp -r -i <PATH_TO_SSH_KEY_FILE> <PATH_TO_PRICE_DATA_FOLDER> ubuntu@<DNS_FOR_MASTER_NODE>:~/price_data

Automate creating a sidebar

As of now, the "Pages" list does not allow for any hierarchical structure, so I started a custom sidebar page with links to other pages. Wondering if there is a better approach?
