README

Binder

The python version reference vector guided evolutionary algorithm.

Currently supported: Multi-objective minimization with visualization and interaction support. Preference is accepted as a reference point.

To test the code, open the binder link and read example.ipynb.

Read the documentation here

Requirements:

Installation process for normal users:

  • Run: pip install pyrvea

Installation process for developers:

  • Download and extract the code
  • Create a new virtual environment for the project
  • Run poetry install inside the virtual environment shell.

See the details of RVEA in the following paper

pyrvea's Issues

Change interaction behaviour

Preference information doesn't need to be limited by the nadir point. It should only be dominated by the ideal point.

Getting final non-dominated points (optimal solutions)

I have tried to get the final non-dominated points in DTLZ3 test problem by using the following commends:

xoptTemp = pop.non_dominated()
print(xoptTemp)

But I got the following results:

Plot saved as: DTLZ3_3.html
View the plot by opening the file in browser.
To view the plot in Jupyter Notebook, use the IFrame command.

Switch to altair for visualization?

While the support for parallel plot is basically non-existent, the "grammar of graphics" seems appealing. On the JS side, vega seems appealing too.
