t9120riser's Introduction

t9120riser

This is the design files for a PCIe Bifurcation riser I put together myself a few months ago. It is designed for the Travla T9120 case.

It is an x16 -> x8x4x4 design, with one x8 slot, one x4 slot on a mezzanine PCB, and the final four lanes on an M.2 slot.

t9120riser's Issues

offtopic: several SSDs on x2 port?

I have an Asrock MB with N100 CPU, which only has PCIe3 x2 (with two lanes). However I want to run 4 SSDs on it.
I've found an adapter board for two SSDs that connects to a PCIe3x1:
PCIe-To-M2-NVME-Adapter-Card-PCIe-X1-2Port-NVME-M-Key-SSD-Converter-M-2 png_

Given your knowledge, is there an easy way to run two of these boards on a single PCIe 3.0 x2 port? Maybe even with some bodge wires? Sadly I can't find a single board that would hold 4 SSDs.

adapter board slim design

Hi So your design is very very great and quite usefull to understand the bifurcation and the trace design. Thanks for that. Also, i did see that you may have done a slim adapter for network card, using oculink connector. I try to figure out how to properly power the card and around a 8643 connector.. Do you think you can also share your schematic for that small one ?

Thanks in advance, very appreciated.
